This indicator relates to reduced relative and absolute poverty levels experienced globally. It has been developed from the target: "by 2030, reduce at least by half the proportion of men, women and children of all ages living in poverty in all its dimensions according to national definitions" which is a component of the Global Goal for Sustainable Development: No Poverty. "World Leaders have committed to 17 Global Goals to achieve 3 extraordinary things in the next 15 years. End extreme poverty. Fight inequality & injustice. Fix climate change. The Global Goals for Sustainable Development could get these things done. In all countries. For all people." For more information on the Global Goals see: http://www.globalgoals.org/. This indicator has been developed from targets designed to measure progress towards Global Goal 1: No Poverty.
