Description

Single parents were asked: "I have people with whom I feel able to discuss the issues I face as a single parent". The question was one of two questions asked to indicate the social outcome "Decreased social isolation/being part of a community". The second question relates specifically to the community aspect: "As a single parent I know where to go for practical help if I need it". This indicator was used by Single Parent Charity Gingerbread and nef Consulting in a 2012 study. This question was asked to single parents who attended Gingerbread groups. The question was asked twice to measure impact.
