Description

This indicator measures the population size receiving basic vaccinations. Information on persons aged 65 and over immunised against seasonal flu is collected from GPs through PHE's ImmForm system. The information in this indicator about immunisation statistics in England comes from Public Health England (PHE). Information on childhood immunisation coverage at ages 1, 2 and 5 years is collected through the Cover of Vaccination Evaluated Rapidly (COVER) data collection for Primary Care Trusts (PCTs). To effectively measure how much change has occurred this indicator should collect data from before and after the intervention.
