The Global Value Exchange (GVE) Advisory Group is a group of experts who provide technical support and strategic guidance to help develop the website. Members of the Advisory Group also help raise awareness of GVE and assist in identifying new data sources, as well as opportunities for collaboration with other organisations.

Greg Woolley - Social Business Analyst, CAN Invest



In his position at CAN, Greg supports numerous charities and social enterprises with business skills, finance and impact measurement services. Either through a consultancy or capacity building approach his role is to help organisations increase their sustainability, understand their impact and if appropriate, grow. Greg is well experienced in a number of evaluative methodologies such as Social Return on Investment, Cost Benefit Analysis, Outcomes mapping, Theory of Change and balance scorecards. He also manages a £1 million social investment Fund for organisations in the Early Intervention sphere.
 
Karl H Richter - Co-Founder and Executive Director, EngagedX



Karl leads EngagedX and specialises in providing bespoke consultancy, thought leadership, advocacy and policy work. He works internationally across private, public and social sectors. He is an experienced entrepreneur and has held numerous leadership, management and executive positions.
 
Tim Crabbe - Chief Executive, Substance



Tim Crabbe is Chief Executive of Substance a social research and technology company that aims to help organisations that do good think smarter. He was formerly Professor of Sociology at Sheffield Hallam University and has been involved in social research and evaluation for the past 25 years. As well as instigating the development of Substance’s Views impact monitoring platform and leading the development of the Sportworks social impact and valuing tool for the sport for development sector Tim currently sits on the Board of the Inspiring Impact programme and the Strategic Board of the Realising Ambition programme. On the GVE Advisory Group Tim is able to share knowledge gleaned from these roles with a particular emphasis on aspects related to the commercial viability and sustainability of the platform.
 
 Jeremy Nicholls - Chief Executive, Social Value UK

 

Jeremy Nicholls is the chief executive of Social Value UK and Social Value International, which are membership organisation for individuals, organisations and companies supporting principles and standards in accounting for social and environmental value.
He is also a director of the FRC Group (a social business based in Liverpool), a non-executive director of Social Investment Business and a member of the IRIS advisory committee and the Social Stock Exchange admissions panel. He has lectured at several Universities including the Said Business School at Oxford University, Hult International Business School and the University of Western Australia.
He originally qualified as a chartered accountant, including time as the Finance Director for Tanzania Railways. In 2004 he set up Urban Strategy associates, an economic development consultancy followed by the BETA Model, an online database of trends in UK business stock and then, with FRC, the Cat’s Pyjamas which ran events to promote the value of social enterprise.
He has written ’There is no business like Social Business’ with Liam Black, and worked with others to write a number of SROI guides including, the ‘Guide to SROI’ and regularly blogs on social value.
